Subject: Re: UKNM: Reliable News Server Service wanted

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and advice on this.

Just to clarify a couple of things, my ISP is Tele2 (http://www.tele2.co.uk).
They are based in Reading and provide leased-line _style_ access through a radio
link. So I have an always on, fixed IP connection to the internet for a fraction
of the cost of a leased line.

This service is unique (though not for long!), fairly reliable, and cheap, so I
want to stick with them as my connection provider.

Unfortunately, they are hopeless in almost every other respect, including the
provision of news services. Whilst I could keep bugging them to sort it out,
getting them to do anything with any degree of competence is an arduous and
time-consuming task, and I'd rather just pay someone else who specialises in the
area.

I need usenet access to automatically post jobs to uk.jobs.contract from my
website Freelancers.net, which can get hundreds of jobs posted at a time (rare),
so it has to be robust and reliable, more so perhaps than your typical ISP news
server account. Don't flame me on this intention unless you have actually looked
at uk.jobs.contract ;-)

Cheers
Dan
