Slightly off-topic but anyway:

Checked out 'Nikki's' site as promo'd in Tim Ireland's email...

Couple of points to Nikki:
a) Please complete the <body> tag, 'cos all the pages just look grey
to me (i.e. in sister-site http://www.names-online.co.uk/, which is promo'd
heavily in severina.co.uk, and has the same design etc). I've seen this
mistake on a lot of sites in the past - N.B. we don't all use IE...
b) Today's date is apparently "Friday 7 January 19100" - Javascript
problemo? - on all the 'severina' + 'names-online' pages :)
c) The homepage has a meta refresh of 100 - no!!! Why would you do
this?! There's nothing as annoying (well, there probably is, but anyway) as
reading a page when it suddenly decides to auto-reload ... argh! <sound of
teeth gnashing>
d) Noticed the following typo @
http://www.severina.co.uk/webdes/info/tips/tips3.htm
"If you must use a pop-up contains links to your site. box, make
sure it only." <-- missing some stuff here...
e) *Never* recommend FrontPage - for anything! i.e.
http://www.severina.co.uk/webdes/info/tips/tips10.htm
- it's bloatware and really does suck, messes code up, adds tags
where they're not ever wanted etc ad nauseum...
f) Typos - lot of 'em (well in the top-tips section anyway...)

This isn't a 'criticism' of the site per se - I do like the site! It
looks good, loads fast over 28.8, and has a lot of useful content. I just
think that for a site propagating the merits of good site design, it should,
well, adhere to some of it's own propaganda...

Just my 2-cents'-worth!

G.
