That's not fair. Remember most people only know about .co.uk and at a push
org.uk and ac.uk . It took me 5 minutes to actually remember that the nhs
had its own domain space (mind you so does the British Library so it really
shouldn't surprise me).
Interesting whois shows that nhsdirect.co.uk is owned by NHS direct and it
appears that netbenefit hasn't set up the redirect correctly.
Likewise nhsdirect.com is owned by two shires Ambulance NHS Trust and
doesn't go anywhere. I'm sure Netcom are just being forgetful here and there
will be a DNS entry soon.
So if anyone here is from netbenefit (or netnames) and netcom could you
spend 30 seconds and forward requests to nhsdirect.nhs.uk . You might save
someone from a headache /hangover/ death.
