You may want to try the Automotive Industry Action Group (no contact details
- sorry). The main thing with the automotive industry is that the change is
in the impact of networked technology on the whole supply chain rather than
just showroom sales.

There is also a greater level of customisation of parts and services (and
obviously consumer expectation) which would not be possible without improved
efficiency in the supply chain.

Question:
Does anyone know of any definite research on the car market & the effect the
internet is having? All I can find is anecdotal evidence from outfits such
as Autobytel etc, and I am unsure as to how things will change with the
current "Rip off Britain"-frenzy and the inherent market slowdown.
