UKNM: Is it a Portal or a HUB??

At the "Lycos (its a sales pitch in disguise) UK Online Advertising

Conference" this week, Lycos announced that they are not a Portal

anymore but a "HUB". 


After the laughter died down the difference was explained; a portal

takes you somewhere/gives you access but a HUB will take you somewhere

and keep you within the service as a customer/user, thus reducing the

churn!
