Okay then...

1. The figures describe 'active' users. If someone has sent me an
e-mail to my account, does that mean it's active? No definition of the
term active *immediately* renders the figures dubious.

2. If as stated 85% are active in that magic 30 day period and as Mr
Danby says those who don't use the service after 30 days are
unsubscribed, then surely that 475,000 figure should be 403,750?

3. Have these figures been externally audited by another organisation
i.e. not Dixons or Freeserve? In fact, do any ISPs get their figures
audited?

I don't trust the figures, simple as that - it sounds a little too
good to be true. I didn't make myself too clear in my post, but
trusted organisations to audit all ISPs using the same methodologies
would make the whole thing a lot easier.

Stefan sticking up for Dixons - what next? Noam Chomsky joining the
board of MacDonalds?
