http://news.bbc.co.uk/ -- best news coverage by far
http://slashdot.org/ -- keep up to date on geek stuff
http://www.betanews.com/ -- get software update news
http://www.google.com/ -- natch
http://www.audiogalaxy.com/satellite/ -- best mp3 transfer system --
web-based, so i can search from work and download to my home PC
http://moneycentral.msn.com/ -- find out how much money i'm losing on a
daily basis. especially useful since it links up with my accounts in
microsoft money.
http://www.haddock.org/ & http://www.memepool.com/ -- find new cool sites
http://www.updates.com/ -- searches my hard drive, and tells me any new
patches/upgrades for software i own.
http://www.paypal.com/ -- transfer cash to people for free -- and one of
only two sites I visit on my WAP phone
http://www.fusionone.com/ -- the other site i use on my WAP phone -- synced
up contacts with Outlook

also the myriad of financial institutions which i have accounts and
creditcards with. i wouldn't even consider a card if it didn't have a web
statement system.
