Having recently gone back to Uni after 15 years in the workplace I have been
impressed by a) the amount of actual work to be produced and b) the demands
made on students not just to participate actively in lectures but also to
think originally and to support each other through learning teams.

It seems a hell of a lot better preparation for the commercial world than it
was when I were a nipper - unfortunately though any grads expecting that
original thought will be listened to and a co-operative approach appreciated
may be sadly disillusioned by general working culture in the UK....
