Subject: Re: UKNM: .uk domains now 5 for two years!

This is an old thread I know, but it just took on new relevance.

I have been looking at various .uk domain registration sites and have found
that the going rate (2yrs) seems to be approx 100. Now I'm no expert, but
hasn't it been that price for quite some time?

If Nominet is only charging 5 quid how come the discount isn't being passed
on, or if it is, by who? Can anybody help me here.

Many Thanks

In case folks don't know, Nominet is now offering .uk domains for 5 for two
years which compared to just a few years back when it was 100 for two years
is a great deal!

But of course you need to make sure that the domain name agent you use
passes on the discount they get from Nominet.

Now if only Steve B and the folks at Funmail had waited for a few months,
their 3,000 domain name bill would have shrunk from 60,000 to 15,000!

Expect of course a huge uptake in domain names and cybersquatters!
