That Steve Bennet bloke already had a big wedge from starting Software
Warehouse. He also parts owns / runs a radio station. Both are based in the
Midlands. Things do happen outside London, you know.
Jungle was not a financial flop, they just didn't make hundreds of millions.
They sold a viable business (or so the buyer felt) No idea how much Steve
put
in (probably not much of his own money) but I think he walked with �7 m,
debts accounted for �12 m so there was �18 left over for 3i, etc. I doubt if
that much was actually invested.
In sensible business terms it looks like some people got a good return on
their short term investment.
