Absolutely! A challenge, but not an impossibility. And it should be easier
for a direct-to-home distribution network than for a supermarket that, of
necessity, has to store and forward stuff and then store it again before it
can sell it to the consumer.
Problem is, organic growers and distributors are inclined to use the
downside of organic growing as an excuse for shoving substandard produce
onto the naive consumer - and most buyers of organic stuff are naive enough
to see limp carrots covered in grime as a value-add in itself.
Personally, I look forward to the day when we can produce genetically
modified customers, but that's another story.
