Ladies and Gentlemen, As part of the Genius of Hitchcock season, we're working with digital arts service The Space (a partnership between Arts Council England and BBC) and the British Film Institute to promote Hitchcock's newly restored silent comedy classic, Champagne. For the first time ever, the restored version of the film will be streamed live and exclusively on The Space www.thespace.org this Thursday 27th September from 7:30pm (GMT) and here's an exclusive clip: Hitchcock's Champagne clip http://bit.ly/ORkdFG Restored by the BFI National Archive, Champagne (1928) is Alfred Hitchcock's eighth film as director and is an uncharacteristically comic parable of a spoilt rich girl Betty (Betty Balfour) who leads a life of luxury on the profits from her father's champagne business. Over and out.
