University of Westminster and Museum of London are on the hunt for 12 #citizencurators to record life in London during the Games.

As everyone knows, the great moments of the Olympics will be photographed & written about, with opinions of organisors, commentators and celebrities in the media - but what about the experience of the humble London resident?

That's where the #citizencurators come in! #Citizencurators is a research project developed by the University of Westminster for the Museum of London that explores what it is like to live in London during the Olympic fortnight (July 27 – August 12).

Our pals at BBC hosted their very own Social Media Week event in London this year. Did you catch it? 'Social Media, The Olympics and BBC - Preparing for London 2012' is now available on video, right here! 

The session boasted a very athletic panel, including Olympians Gail Emms, Zac Purchase MBE and Mark Hunter MBE. Also joining them was Roger Mosey, BBC Director for London 2012 and Lewis Wiltshire, BBC's Digital Olympics Editor & Social Media Editor, BBC Sport.

Race For Apps is a competition, launched by Hackney Council, Digital Shoreditch and IC Tomorrow, to crowdsource mobile apps from the digital community for visitors, business leaders and journalists coming into the local area during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralymic Games.
