New technologies are helping interpret and analyze how we behave.

One such example is myPersonality, which has attracted nearly 7.5 million people since its launch in 2007.

Developed by David Stillwell, myPersonality creates a profile from data on Facebook. It is now opening up to other academics and businesses who might benefit from adding questionnaires to the world’s most ubiquitous social network.

Yielding to my curious side, I had the opportunity to flee the office for the afternoon, and attend Chinwag Psych. With my background in PR I had no clue what to expect from a pyschology conference, but soon enough I was up to my knees in knowledge; learning about how neuroscience, behavioural psychology and machine learning could revolutionise media, marketing and business.

A researcher at 3D design software firm, Autodesk is championing a new way of visualising how organisations change and evolve using a company's internal graph.
