Background bitmap vanishes!

I have replaced my background bitmap with a new Pict,  and when exported as

an SWF and displayed in the player, the background intermitantly vanishes

and is replaced with a solid red color.  Why red I don't understand because

my background color is set to a rusty brown.  So far I've only seen this

happen in the Mac player; I haven't been able to duplicate on the PC.  I can

open the same file again in the same player and the background has returned.


Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
