There have been several problems with the Flash 3 plug-in that have been
reported to us. We realize that this can a big inconvenience for users who
have problems. The problems we are aware of are:
------------------------------------
Problem: Occasionally, after upgrading the Flash 2 plug-in to Flash 3 with
Netscape on a Mac, users can no longer see Flash 2 movies.

Solution: The helper app MIME type configuration info for Netscape on the
Mac gets confused when upgrading the Flash 2 plug-in to Flash 3. We think
this is a result of a bug in Netscape where it does not update a preference
file properly. To solve the problem. 1) In the browser, choose Edit >
Preferences. 2) Choose the Navigator > Applications Category. 3)Select
Shockwave Flash from the list on the right. 4) Click Edit and then click OK
in the new dialog box. 5) Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box. 6)
Restart your browser.
------------------------------------
Problem: Pages that use JavaScript or FSCommands to work with Netscape with
LiveConnect no longer work.

Solution: You need to add "swliveconnect=true" to your EMBED tag. We made
this change to prevent the "Java Loading" delay when visiting any Flash
page. We know it is a problem to require web sites to update their HTML for
this but adding the swliveconnect flag was the only way we could solve the
larger problem of the Java Loading delay which was created in Netscape 4.
Sorry that we did not do a better job of getting this information out to
developers sooner.
------------------------------------
Problem: Flash crashes on Windows PCs that use a Cyrix CPU.

Solution: The Cyrix CPU is incompatible with the MMX acceleration code that
was added to Flash 3. We will provide a fix for this problem as soon as
possible (in the next few days).
