I had this problem with Communicator after installing Flash 3,
and the way I fixed it was to make sure that
TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash"
was inserted inside my EMBED tag, along with the typical SRC
statement. If this is left out, it seems that Netscape tries to look for
a plugin for the text/plain MIME type and complains about it.
