The standalone player or projector is a self-contained executable version of your Flash movie. It can be used for a variety of reasons, such as putting Flash on a CD and sending your movie to people who may not have the plug-in. Making movies for standalone use isn't much different from making them for web use, but there are certain considerations that you must be aware of. For example, you can't just pop in a Get URL action to go to a web page - you need to use FS Commands. I have a web site that was actually created to help anyone using the standalone/projector at http://www.flashlite.net. There are lots of tutorials and help files under the CD Stuff section.

Hope this helps :)
