Hi Sienna.
Sure it will make your files larger. Flash only stores once the outline
for any specific font/letter you use, so you're getting the benefits of
symbol re-use. If you break up the text, even if you regroup it, Flash will
have to store the image information once for every occurrence of what used
to be a letter but is now a shape. The only time it won't matter is if a
letter is used only once in the movie.
