This might be of help, take a look at www.swift-tools.com and take a look at the "Inspector."  I have not used it, however, this tool claims to be able to extract sounds/images etc...

hi all;
        is there any software to reverse the .swf flash file format to its
original format (i.e. .fla file format) so that i can open it and make
changes to it if i want. i remember some talking about this in this group
some time in the past if i'm correct. but i need this desperately now
because i've had the CIH virus on my PC and it just deleted the partition on
my PC today so i've lost all of my original files.

        if there is any software for this, can any one tell me if it's
effective or not?
