Subject: | FLASH: Protolob game |

Regarding the 3 bounce sound effects: I had a design issue there. Because of
the mathematical accuracy of the gravity and bounce effects, the ball
actually hits the ground many hundreds of times in tiny bounces. So, I found
that the sound effects were going waaay too much. So I had to limit it to
three bounce sounds.
Any game improvement suggestions for protolob?? It's a concept game right
now - a demonstration of technology rather than a complete game. So, I
welcome input for the final game release.

Amazing... just a couple of things:
1) When the ball hits the ground surface, only three bounce sounds are
heard... if the ball bounces a fourth time, no sound is heard. Why?
2) I shot the cannonball straight up into the air to see what would
happen... but the shadow closeby didn't change size (smaller, dimmer)... can
you make the shadow a little more faded and smaller depending on the
distance between the ground and the ball?
3) I'd love it if there were a high score list... I spent 20 minutes and got
1010 points, but I don't know if that's terrible, average or good... maybe
you could think about setting a time limit, too.
Overall, it is amazing. Amazing.

Hi. I wrote a little concept game which uses 3D math, space, scaling,
reflections and shadows. It's based on the classic cannon game in which you
aim a cannon and fire, and try to make the arc of the shot hit a target.
It's the same, with X,Y and Z. It's called Protolob, because you are lobbing
proton bombs... it's a start.
Anyhow, it can be found at

Any comments would be appreciated,
Thanks!
