Marc Hoffman noted a couple days ago that the same thing happened to him
when executing a swf with no browser opened--IE opened even though
Netscape was the default on the machine he was running on. I just tried
a test and found that IE opens when I run either a standalone (.exe) or
a .swf with a GetURL to either http://something.com or localfile.html,
even though Netscape is my default browser (meaning of course, that a
double-click on a local html file brings up Netscape).
Could someone from Macromedia (John, Matt, Brad?) comment on this? Is
Flash somehow hardwired to open Internet Explorer from a GetURL if there
is no browser open?
Thanks for any info on this,
Helen
