Subject: RE: FLASH: Flash & ActiveX & Transparent

Thanks, that is a good start.

What I am looking at doing is putting the flash player on a dialog (in VC++
or C++Builder/Delphi) and then making the dialog underneath that be visible
through player control.

I've already wrapped the player for both Builder and VC++, but I haven't
been able to use the WindowMode property to make it be completely invisible.
The problem is that every Flash animation that our art department gives me
has a background of some sort. Is there any way to get rid of the
background?

Also, if there is a better spot for me to be asking these questions, let me
know. This list looks like it is oriented towards Web development, which I
guess is what Flash was intended for, but because it is an ActiveX control,
the windows have been left wide open...

Thanks,

Yes, you can do this, but only on Internet Explorer for Windows (version 4.0
and higher). An explanation is given on page 232 of your Flash manual
(WMODE parameter of the OBJECT tag).
