But certainly it is ESSENTIAL, to MANY Flash Developers!

I believe that I NEED to get a(n even better) "grip" on JavaScript if
I am to become a "Full-Flash Master" -- there's just TOO MANY THINGS,
*about Flash*, that are easiest to do via JavaScript.

Yah. But I wanna know if my JavaScript IMPROVEMENTS to my Flash
movies are gonna be REJECTED by viewers BEFORE they even get to seen
the movies at all; AND, I desperately want STATS about this, so that
I can make INTELLIGENT decisions.

Well there certainly IS, *100% of the time*, if I rely upon
JavaScript functionality to make my Flash movies work at their BEST.
Right?

I just wanna know where I stand, as a Flash Developer.

(Cf. other recent posts from me! :-) ).

For my HTML pages, I'm not worried about JavaScript.

For my *Flash movies*, I'M VERY CONCERNED.

NOT a "Black or White Issue" for me. I *want stats*, so that I can
make EVERY design decision with INTELLIGENCE, and *some sort of
finesse*. MY INCOME *depends upon* this!

Doesn't everyone else's, too, or are ya all "too busy" to have time
to be concerned or even think about this?

The "8-17%" SHOCKED me. A BIG "DUH MOVE", TO TURN OFF JS! (How "busy"
can one really be, when surfing? I've NEVER FELT that JS has
contributed significantly to DL speed! And, I've spend a big bulk of
my time over the past two years "surfing" ... at least an average of
3 hours per day, every day (till I got my great "real job").

>If you want your pictures to be perfectly viewable by all in flash,

It AIN'T about the Concept of "Perfection". Again, NOT a "black or
white" issue with me.

These sorts of decisions, when designing Flash movies, require
KNOWLEDGE about *browser info*. NEVER simply a black-or-white
"choice" (IMO), unless one has decided that one is just "too busy" to
take time to THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS. And, if so, "Good Luck" to
THEM: they MAY be busy *NOW*, BUT "mastery" of making one's Flash
movies ACCESSIBLE to the *proper audience* seems to be the KEY TO THE
"FUTURE", if one is to SURVIVE into the foreseeable future as a Flash
Developer.

Thanks and HTH,

Ken Sherwood
