Subject: FLASH: rotate a mc around an endpoint
From: Helen Triolo

Is there a way to rotate a movieclip around one of its endpoints instead
of the middle using the _rotation property? If I do
Modify/Transform/Edit Center on the mc in Flash and move the little plus
sign to an endpoint, then a Modify/Transform/Scale_and_Rotate makes it
rotate on the endpoint, but it still rotates around the midpoint when I
use the set property(_rotation) command and Test Movie.

If there's no way to rotate a mc on an endpoint, then what's the best
way to add an equivalent amount of empty space on one side of the mc
(like doing a canvas size adjustment in Photoshop to double the width of
something, leaving half of the new canvas blank), so that the old
endpoint is now the center? Does this make sense to anyone out there,
or is this just a ridiculous thing to be trying to do at 10:30pm on a
Saturday...?

tia,
Helen
