But...but....I just tried the experiment and it kept right on moving after
it was 50%...

Maybe one of you could send the fla to me to see if something is different.

I have a red circle that is a movie clip that is moving around with 3
tweens. On the main timeline I put a button with an action that sets the
alpha of the circle mc to 50. It works, dims the circle, keeps on
truckin'....

hmmmm.

I was going to suggest that along with the action to set property to 50, you
could put another action that was a tell target to the movie clip and just
say "play"...but I didn't need to add that action, so don't know what to
tell you!
