Tom -

The *other* Dan here ... (from brown to green to gray ... tinkers to
evers to chance)

Flash format files are one of the things that LiveMotion produces (now).
In the future, we can likely expect SVG (and who knows what else). In
short, LM isn't tied to the Flash format.

I think it's safe to say that LiveMotion will bring scores of new users
to the Flash format, by virtue of its easy interface (and Adobe's
marketing clout). Flash is safe at the high end, no doubt.

A handful of LiveMotion's current strengths, IMHO:

* Styles - including filters and animation. These can be a *huge* timesaver.
* Integration with Illustrator and Photoshop (drag n drop)
* Per-object compression
* Compositions (with rollovers) can be exported in either sliced
Javascript or Flash formats.
* The ease of applying certain effects to text.

FWIW, I've been working with this product since the very beginning.
(I'm the only poor chump to have written an ImageStyler book.)

I think I've mentioned this on the Flasher list before ... I've started
a little focused LiveMotion list, if anyone's interested, feel free to
email me (off the list) and I'll hook you up.

Cheers,
Dan
