Hejsan!

I just tried it:

Open the PSD-file in ImageReady (either directly from PS or via IR and
open etc. etc.).

On the right handside you see the different "option cards" (What's the
English name for them?), use Optimize, there is an option which lets
you choose between GIF, JPEG, PNG-8 and PNG-24. Use PNG-24 (24bit) and
mark the transparency checkbox.

I have just created a PSD-file with a transparent background and it
works fine with IR. I also checked the resulting PNG in Fireworks and
it has really a transparent background. ;)

Best regards,

Thorvald Neumann
