Subject: FLASH: OT: frames and flash
From: GDavies

Just for information, does anyone know of a site that documents the tricks
for this kind of thing. I've always noticed that netscape does framesets
differently to IE, but could never tie down what the actual difference was.
It was almost that netscape does not adhere to the pixel size you specify,
it seems to round the pixel size somehow. Any light anyone can she on this
would be appreciated.

Cheers
Grant.

Netscape and IE did their usual little fight over this site. The problem
was getting the graphics to line up across the frames. We ended up having
to, first, put the frameset into a crippled browser window (so users
couldn't resize it) and, second, have JavaScript sniff the browser and
generate 2 different framesets so we could make the graphics line up. The
whole thing was a bit of a pain in the rear, but the site seems to hold up
well in all browsers/platforms.
