Since everybody is throwing in their 2 cents.. here's mine.
I do a lot of animation in Flash and personally, I think the Flash
timeline sucks. I have used After Effects for years and I enjoy
using it. When Livemotion is released, I will add it to my list of
tools and I can see myself using it for 9/10ths of my work. But
thats me. I dont do a lot of complicated scripting and
interactivity.. I simply dont need to.
I think as a multimedia designer, you should have all the tools in
your toolbox...or atleast be familar with them. Use each tool for
its strength. LiveMotion ( in its current form) IS a Flash Killer
when using it for animation... but if scripting and interactivity is
your game, then Flash is your choice.
