I think an example would be a touchscreen <<installation>> you might find at

the mall or the airport or wherever, placed in front of unsuspecting

tourists or shoppers? Supposed to be helpful but typically programmed quite

ineffectively? --- Push this button for a list of restaurants, this one for

<<things to do>> etc, a front-end for a (usually) small list of paid

services.
