Hi all,
I joined the list yesterday (or was it the day before - nomatter) and I
caught the tail end of various Form threads.
As I'm in the process of creating a Flash Response Form I followed a
link to a tutorial which of course did not work (can't remember the URL
- think they were called Ente or something).
I did, however, make my Form work by looking at the URL in the location
bar after Submitting from a standard HTML Form I had previously created,
hence the code that went into the GET URL box in Flash looked like this:
//public [dot] www [dot] easynet [dot] co [dot] uk/cgi-bin/formmail/formmail [dot] pl?recipient=yanzoo [dot] co [dot] uk&redirect=http://www.e-sites.co.uk/Pages/thankyou.html">http://public [dot] www [dot] easynet [dot] co [dot] uk/cgi-bin/formmail/formmail [dot] pl?recipient=yanzoo [dot] co [dot] uk&redirect=http://www.e-sites.co.uk/Pages/thankyou.html
I have, however, a slight problem inasmuchas the Form submits every
variable that my .SWF contains and also for reasons beyond my ken will
always ignore the first variable on the Form page itself.
I got round this problem by creating a TEXT FIELD variable which I hid
under another layer, disabled the editing of and had already filled in
with a single character.
Even though this then shows up in the email at least the first proper
field is now working.
if anybody who's clevererer than me could possible explain why this is I
would be most grateful.
Cheers
Yan
