Subject: RE: FLASH: 45 min. Presentation - in flash?
From: James

I guess what I'm looking for is what will flash do for me that powerpoint
can't - the latest powerpoint allows for animations, mouseovers, sounds,
etc.

Where I'm concerned is, what if (and it always happens) one of the execs
says "Can you go back to that third slide..." How is that going to easily
happen in flash without some type of navigation built in? Or, is there
some sort of "goto frame/page" menu command I'm not aware of.

Also, how do you go about printing a flash movie? Do you have to take
screen shots?

I'm just trying to address some of the real world issues that I know I'll
run into when dealing with flash. I really would like to use flash for
this type of work, but you can understand my concerns.

Any opinions/thoughts are appreciated.

James

Part of my job involves doing exactly this. There're a number of business
executives bored to tears with Powerpoint who're just wowed when they see
what they can do with Flash. I've done 30+ minute presentations with no
probs. Make sure your playback computer is fast enough to smoothly handle
any transitions you want to create. Otherwise, it's all fairly simple
Flash work...and believe me,there's a market for it.

I've got several examples, all between 800k. and 2.5 mb in size. If you
want me to send you one, email me directly, I'll be happy to.
