Thanks for replying to this matter, I was rather expecting you would but
had hoped for a more in depth analysis ;).

"Java will only load in the Netscape browsers in response to Flash if
you've set the swLiveConnect to enable JavaScript control. If Java can't
load successfully on that machine then it will have a problem."

Yes that is true, but the real issue here is that when you need to
activate Java so you can use the LiveConnect layer Netscvape will crash
if the activation occured from a page that uses Flash.

"Other players that can use Netscape's LiveConnect for JavaScript
control
include Shockwave, RealPlayer, LiveAudio, and Beatnik."

And with these players the only one that causes crashes is Shockwave
under a Flash movie. I haven't observed the same occuring with Director
movie's so I assume it does not.
Maybe you could try and test this for yourself and interest someone in
MM to have a look into it and try to come up with a fix or at least a
good explanation why this occurs ?
