I'm coming late to the thread, but if the core is "What might I try if a

Mac doesn't naturally open files from a PC?" then you might consider

setting Apple's "PC Exchange" Control Panel to automatically associate .FLA

file extensions with the Flash application.


(PC Exchange may have gone through name changes... you should still be able

to open the TYPE-less file in Flash, although you can't doubleclick it...

if even this doesn't work then then you may wish to look at the integrity

of the file-transfer process, 'cause it may have been damaged.)
