Hi Benard,
You need to issolate what is causing your problem.
There is no unsolvable problem with supplying Flash and plain text files
from PCs to Macs and vice versa. What needs to be done is find out what
component or procedure is causing your problem.
The first step is to detemine the EXACT file size of a zip before it is
downloaded (on the server) and compare that to the size you download to
your hard drive. They must be the same not 1 byte different. Saying the
file is 8K is worthless for this test.
Go to and download the zip
http://www.FlashBible.com/Members/ActionScript/SetProperties.htm
birdframe.zip 8197
It decompresses into 3 files:
bird-frame.fla 28672
bird-frame.swf 2847
SetProperties.txt 285
I'm not sure whether Stuffit addds the forks to the file when
decompresssing, if so the files will be 16 bytes larger each as I
recall.
If someone on a Mac can download and unzip this same file and post the
exact numbers you should get when uncompressed with Stuffit that would
be helpful.
