FLASH: Basic Actionscript Help

What suggestions would you make for a non-programmer to get up to speed with

Flash's actionscript ASAP?  I come from a design background, but am non-phobic

about learning this stuff.  Would an intro to lingo help?  I've gone through ALL

the web tutorials (John Croteau, enetserve, Flashlite, etc.), and these

resources help,  but I need more of an overview.  Anybody with ideas?
