Actionscript syntax is different but the basic functionality of most

components is similar to other languages. Most any basic programming

book covers these subjects, but none will use the same syntax, refer to

online examples and tutorials for now.


What are STRINGS


COMPARISONS -- if,  else if and else


Comparison Operations --  equals, not equals, less than, etc.


Loop While (while in JS)


Boolean Logic AND OR NOT


There are a lot of differences between Actionscipt and any other

language and i will be covering those, but it will take time to put this

knowledge on the Web. We plan make Actionscipt accessable to the

non-programmer, and if you have read and understand all my tutorials you

should be able to implement many things already. Without realizing it if

you understand my tutorials so far you have already been programming.


My book will cover Actionscript in good detail and some of the other

books may also, but none of these are available yet, and are still some

time away from being available.


If there is something you need in particular, let me know.
