Subject: FLASH: Hardware requirements
From: james

I think I've asked this before and now I *really* need
to get an idea.

I'm putting together a 45 min. presentation in flash
(unless it requires Director) and I'm trying to get an
idea of the hardware needed to present it smoothly.

I have a high-end desktop to develop the presentation
on, but the laptops we have aren't the greatest. So,
I'm wondering what's important to run a flash movie
and what's required, especially for a movie of this
length and intensity.

Processor? RAM? Video? Is video the most important?
What would be the minimum and ideal to run this type
of flash movie?

I know I'll have 3 or 4 elements moving and doing
things at one time, and maybe even audio at times,
and that's when it just bogs down to nothing - so what
am I lacking?

Again, this will be a local presentation, so there are
no bandwidth concerns, just local hardware. I'd
appreciate any advice you can provide.
