Hi James,
There are 2 key hardware parameters you will run into that affect Flash
playback are CPU speed and video performance.
The faster the processor the better.
But juat as important or more important is the video card and its
drivers.
RAM will not normally be a problem for playback of Flash, authoring is a
totally different story though.
A better video card, with more video memory and the latest drivers will
usually make a big difference.
One thing you should do is make sure any computer has the latest video
drivers. A 133 Pentium with a good video card and the latest video
drivers can easily out perform a 250 mhz Pentium that does not have
current drivers on an animation that draws heavily to the screen.
The latest video drivers almost always have to be downloaded from the
Web. It is extremely rare to have the latest video drivers installed or
on the CD that comes with the video card.
