Subject: FLASH: Plugin installation problems II

Flashers,

OK I don't know if anyone is interested in this but I'll keep it short.
Current Opera version supports Flash, Shockwave and Authorware plugins
without problems.
The best way to install these plugins is by copying them from a Netscape
plugins folder if you happen to have one.
If not the process can be a bit more troublesome but in the end all
works OK.
Testing the plugins can be a bit of a hassle because Macromedia site
refuses to allow Opera browsers into it's Flash based content.
The easiest way is to link directly to the urls that house the test
movies.
The client I am dealing with got a bit worried when he found he couldn't
access Macromedia's flash based content version but I managed to
convince him that even though they produce great software they have a
poor web design department. Sometimes we do have to resort to these
'tactics'.

Nigel
