OTH I know a lot of people who *regret* getting a pad that's *too large*
(for comfortable use at their work area). My "6x8" (technically 8x6) Intuos
measures 14 by 10, so, when making a purchase decision, add 6 to the ("live
area") width dimension, and add 4 to the length dimension, and be sure you
have room for this. A 9x12 tablet ends up inches wider than a large pizza
box ... be sure you have this much empty space at your work area if you go
that large!

Also, as far as PenPartner vs. Intuos: in 13 years of making my living on
the Mac, I've *never* regretted spending the extra bucks for a superior
product, even if *at the time of purchase* I'd found little use for the
extra features. Things change, your abilities evolve, and you don't want to
regret a cheaper purchase that lacks features you eventually find that you
would like to have.

Pressure sensitivity is one of many groovy Intuos features that really
sparkle. Too bad you can't download a trial version!

Good luck with your decision. And if you're on a Mac, don't fear the talk
you hear about problems with Flash. I have all *current* software, and my
Intuos works just fine with Flash.
