FLASH: sprite (mc) following mouse

Hello all. Before I set forth in reinventing the wheel, I thought I'd ask if

reference exists for this:


I have an MC on a horizontal plane that needs to follow the x position of

the user's pointer. Kicker is I need it to follow the pointer even when the

mouse is outside the flash movie itself. If it can follow within a browser

window then great, outside the window- GREAT! Any references (javascript I

imagine) out there doing this?
