Subject: FLASH: Designing and Exit !? And Resident Flash?

Hi all,

I have a question regarding an Exit strategy. Most of the Flash sites I
see are self contained once you enter the Flash domain of the site. You
make a selection and it takes you, ideally, to a preloaded movie.

Now at the end of my intro movie it will come to a menu. On the menu will
be buttons for other Flash examples and a button to the normal html
[exit]. I can see a problem with this: What happens if they hit the back
button on their browser? It will take them to the beginning of the Flash
movie. Even with a Skip Intro button, it could get annoying. What I
would like them to do is come immediately back to the Flash menu.

Second, the same problem might exist if each of the Flash examples is not
part of the original Flash, correct? But if you load all the Flash
examples in the initial load sequence, it could be too large.

So, Once you have loaded aparticular flash from one html page... does it
stay resident and loaded when you leave that page and go to another and
then back to that page?

One problem I can see is that if you use an "If Frame is loaded," it
might force the initial user to jump to the final menu on the first
visit...
