FLASH: OT: Beatnik redesigns it's site

For those on this list that still don't know what Beatnik is, and how it

relates to Flash, the new site has quite a lot of good reading material.

Highly recommended.

The new site also marks the launch of a new player. The Beatnik player

install has been modified. Like Flash you now download a installer that

then checks your system and does the rest of the download. This reduces

the total download size. I can't give any details on the new player

though as the test I did was from a windows machine and it doesn't seem

to be working for me, but if what I do know about the new version is

true then Beatnik is on the right path.


P.S. : If you get page not found errors while surfing over to the

Beatnik site try

http://216.34.0.43/ as an alternative. It's so new that the new dns

settings may not have propagated yet to your local name server.


P.P.S. : Pity Beatnik doesn't Flash it's site ;)
