Excuse me but I was the Flash designer/developer for the VRLX site and its
launch date was December last year! It only won SSOD last month. I'm sure
David Gary will remember the debate we had on the list as to who's globe
method was the best. He used a tweening map with a mask. We vector traced
every frame from a 3d bitmap render. They might look the same but the
implemtation was different. I don't really care who uses it. If a spinning
globe has a purpose for your navigation then fine.
BTW...How's it going David. I like your web site.
