John,

Thanks for your reply.

To make myself clear: I personally have no problem here ... I'm not wanting
to take FreeHand graphics out of Flash and back into FreeHand. And I can bop
back and forth between FreeHand and Flash, easily, as I have Command-Tab
(and Command-Shift-Tab) programmed to jump forward and backward through the
programs that are open; and, secondarily, GoMac lets me just click a button
at the bottom of the screen (as in Windows) to jump to a different program.
Mac owners without these have to click and drag in the upper right corner of
the screen to switch programs ...

When I said "way-whacked", I guess I was more generally referring to my
impression of a partial failure in MM's marketting strategy. Especially when
you were bundling FreeHand 8 and Flash 3, I think you could have sold a lot
more bundles had you promoted the potential interactivity between the two --
copying and pasting (with proper preferences settings), creating easy Flash
animations in FreeHand with the Blending and Release to Layers features,
etc.

Just my opinion ...

John, while I have your attention, hopefully the list members will excuse a
further off-topic FreeHand question ... I'm desperate! I've had a Q
lingering on macromedia.freehand for a week now with no answer, and a
different thread there presents the same problem, with no answer either.

Running FreeHand 8.01 or 8.01b, on a Mac, with a Dvorak keyboard layout,
NONE of the Command Keys work (except A and M, the two keys that are in the
same place on both keyboards). I'd hate to have to start my free tech
support for what seems to be a common bug. Can you help? Trashing
preferences files doesn't help, though at one time months ago (running an
earlier System version), it did. And I know at least one person who
*doesn't* have this problem. Go figure.

Thanks to the list for indulging me here.
