FLASH: Mailto and Get URL Solved but I still need help

    To recap



    A while back I had a weird problem with a getURL and Mailto call in a

file. Worked great in original file (Even after the other one didn't work)

New file didn't Bottom line was that it didn't work on my machines (2

running Win98) and one other. It seems to work fine on every other machine I

sent it to. (5 to be exact) Can't figure out why it won't work and no one

seems to know. Failing that, Is there another way to make those calls that

should work all of the time?


    Just figured it out----


    Flash 3 stand alone player will not run get url or mail to commands.

Flash 4 player will. Even if you create the SWF with 4 it won't work. Stick

it in a browser it works fine. Running through the player NO GO.


    Doesn't matter which program is installed either because I had 3 and the

download both. If I run the 4 player and then run the file created in 3 it

calls the file corrrectly also.


    New problem....

    Files were already created with old projector. Any ideas on how to get

the correct player installed? Licensing issues? If a projector was already

created will it call the correct player anyway? Any ideas. CD's already

created can't go back.
