First off make sure you have downloaded all the patches from the update
site.

Next make sure your ram is runnig at the same rate 80ns, 10ns, 6ns or
whatever if possible.

Next pull your other memory out then try to relieve any possible viruses
that may be residing.

Run scandisk and defrag... check your Virtual Mem settings, look at your
upper mem block to see how much you have left.

I don't use resource monitor .. but I do use msconfig run this and make
sure you know all the progs running at startup.. some may be hoging the
upper mem block.
