I have been using Premiere for a few years and found it to be ok. Are you
sure the computer you are running it on is powerful enough to handle your
video footage? Also have you made sure you have all the right preferences
and your video settings are correct?
I know of a program called speed razor, I have never used it though. I am
told it is quite good though.
